Both the north and south locations are very child-friendly, with chalkboards and astro-turfed areas. Bindoon Bakehaus

The Peasant’s Table

Clancy’s Fish Pub

Naked Fig

A Fish Called Inglewood

An outdoor sandpit with toys makes an afternoon at this brewery pleasant for the whole family. But beware: ‘Unattended children will be given an espresso and

Hoopla Espresso

A favourite for parent groups, Hoopla has a kids’ corner (with a small toy box and a low table for little diners), and Moresby Street Reserve across the road, which is home to a semi-enclosed playground. 8 Moresby Street, Kensington, 9474 6006.

Gooseberries Cafe

Moore & Moore Cafe
