Located on Hay Street under the iiNet building opposite Subiaco Square, BARK Subiaco is the cosiest and coolest small bar in the area, making it the perfect place to chill out on a rainy day or night with friends. Roughly the size of a lounge room, it also holds the title of Subiaco’s smallest small bar, although when the sun is shining, the dog-friendly alfresco seating out front is a popular place to be.

Adding to the eclectic vibe of **BARK Subiaco** are touches of character that instantly make you feel at home. Polaroids of some of the staff’s favourite furry visitors are lovingly displayed alongside warm blankets and couches you can just sink into. The vintage wooden bar looks straight out of the set of ‘Cheers’ and the old meets new aesthetic creates an atmosphere so quintessentially Subiaco. If you are feeling competitive, there’s a whole stack of board games to settle wagers over. A customer favourite is UNO, with the house rules chalked up to settle any disputes. Perhaps best known for their delicious toasted sandwiches, the cheesymite jaffle is an irresistible accompaniment to a WA craft beer. Colonial, Bright Tank and Nail are on the cards, to name a few. Swapping their kegs regularly, BARK has different beer on tap every week. **BARK Subiaco** offers a range of WA wines and delicious cocktails showcasing local distilleries such as West Winds and Old Young's. A crowd favourite is ‘The Pav’, a tantalising concoction of Old Young’s Pavlova Vodka and Turkish Delight liqueur. If in need of something more substantial, you can order their signature cheese board or get take away from Crust Pizza next door and they’ll bring it over when it’s ready. Leondra Corbett who took over as venue manager in November last year and after three and a half years as manager at Unicorn Bar, is well known to locals and being Irish, is always up for a chat and a giggle.
